Classroom management
Classroom management refers to the actions taken to create and maintain a learning environment conducive to successful instruction: from establishing rules and policies to teaching strategies to engage students in academic tasks (Brophy, 1999). Effective classroom management results in a well organised and well behaved class. A well-managed class is efficient, promotes learning and prevents the many disruptions that can arise (Savage & Savage, 2009).
